To make Darlo a theatre for everyone, we need everyone’s help.

At Darlinghurst Theatre Company, we’re working differently. We are a theatre company, but we don’t just make theatre. We work in a beautiful heritage building, but we’re not just a venue. We want to be a home for people to gather, celebrate, think and grow. We want to be a place where everyone feels welcome. 

Now is the time to work towards this future by putting in place the programming and partnerships to make our vision a reality.

We are:

  • Investing in ground-breaking new performance that invites Australia’s finest theatremakers through our doors. 

  • Prioritising historically excluded voices and ideas that reflect our changing world.

  • Inviting new audiences to connect and belong at Darlinghurst Theatre Company through audience development strategies led by community leaders and engagement specialists. 

  • Sharing our vision and values through ambitious touring and co-productions with mainstage theatre companies around the country.

  • Removing economic barriers to attendance through accessible ticketing initiatives. 

  • Holding ourselves accountable through public-facing and sector-leading diversity, access and equity targets.

We want to be a centre of connection and community. We want our art to reflect our world. We want our space to be for you. We’re starting this work now, and we need your help to ensure it continues.

Ways to support DTC

 

Darlo Patrons
$5000+

Join the DTC family in the most impactful way. 

Donors of gifts of $5000+ are acknowledged as Darlo Patrons in recognition of the significant impact of support at this level. We invite you to a conversation with our Artistic Director and Executive Director about supporting an area of the company’s work that is most meaningful for you – a production in our program, one of our Lead Artists or a strategic focus such as our sector-leading access and inclusion work.  

Darlo Patrons are invited to celebrate a selection of opening nights as our guest throughout the year, and to join us for exclusive behind-the-scenes opportunities to connect with our artists, staff, board and fellow donors. Darlo Patrons are credited in digital and printed programs, on DTC’s website and in a new digital artwork to be featured in the Eternity Playhouse foyer from mid-2022. 

 

Darlo Champions $500 - $4999

Connect deeply to DTC through your generous support.

Donors of gifts from $500 to $4999 are acknowledged as Darlo Champions. As part of this distinctive group, you are invited to special events throughout the year - intimate opportunities to meet our artists and board and to be part of the life of the company. At least one performance each season will be designated as a Darlo Champions night, where you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy special pre or post-show events and connect with fellow donors when you purchase tickets to attend. Darlo Champions are credited on DTC’s website and in a new digital artwork to be featured in the Eternity Playhouse foyer from mid-2022. 

 

Darlo Angels $2 - $499

Make a difference through your gift to DTC.

Donors of gifts from $2 to $499 are acknowledged as our beloved Darlo Angels. Large or small, every donation makes a difference and contributes towards paying artist wages and getting our productions on stage. We couldn’t be more grateful for your support! Darlo Angels are recognised on DTC’s website.

 

Darlinghurst Theatre Company is registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission and has Deductible Gift Recipient status. All donations over $2 are tax deductible. 

Darlo’s Honour Wall and seat plaque acknowledgements are currently under review.
