Darlo Supper Club will be a den of delight in the heart of Sydney Festival. Cabaret's rare jewel and your host for the evening, Andrew Bukenya, will invite you into Darlo’s intimate underground space to join in a night of frivolity, glamour and 5-star entertainment. Joining you in our piano bar will be the crème de la crème of Sydney’s kaleidoscopic musical scene, including stars of cabaret, classical, jazz and musical theatre.

With a different guest every night, Darlo Supper Club is the place to be for sipping champagne, devouring delicious delicacies and being delighted by Andrew and his guests. See the Darlo Supper Club line-up below.

Darlo Pay What You Can Tickets

Theatre isn't always accessible, but it should be. It puts up further barriers to historically excluded groups being part of the show. So, we have reserved two (2) tickets for each performance for those who face social barriers to attending theatre, especially those who identify as Indigenous and/or Black and/or People of Colour, those who identify as transgender and gender diverse, those experiencing disability or those experiencing economic hardship.     Three Dreambox Collective artists, Chloe Chung (multi-style flautist) , Jolin Jiang (composer, orchestrator, pianist) and Liz Cheung (low flutes and Chinese traditional bowed strings) present intimate and rich works from their latest collaboration “Home”.

    BOY AND BUCKET

    BOY AND BUCKET is an all-trans indie folk band creating space for sharing the complexities of life and the joys of friendship. They express fundamental queer truths in a universally accessible and relatable way. From communal grieving and despair, to the elation of love and connection, they have a catchy anthem for any experience no matter how big or small.

    NICK RUSSONIELLO

    Air Mass is a tour-de-force of instant compositions presented by award winning saxophonist Nick Russoniello. This electro-acoustic piece combines improvised and aleatoric live performance with fixed digital sound worlds and journeys from baroque to beatbox and beyond. Future sounds of the saxophone are explored through live-looping, sampling & body percussion

    UMBERTO CLERICI

    With a career spanning more than 20 years as a gifted cello soloist, orchestral musician and now conductor, Umberto Clerici has gained a reputation as an artist of diverse and multifaceted talents. Umberto began his career as a virtuoso cellist making his solo debut at the age of 17 performing Haydn’s D Major cello concerto in Japan.  After years of performing on the stages of the world’s most prestigious concert halls, Umberto took up the position as Principal cello of the Teatro Regio di Torino following which he was Principal Cello of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra from 2014 to 2021.

    ZELA MARGOSSIAN

    Zela Margossian is an Australian pianist, composer and recording artist of Armenian heritage. Born in Beirut, she is currently based in Sydney. She is the founder of the Zela Margossian Quintet which was nominated for an ARIA Award upon the release of her first album, Transition, in November 2018. In 2022, Zela Margossian Quintet were signed on the American label, Ropeadope, who released Margossian’s second album, The Road, in February 2022. Both albums have received positive reviews nationally and internationally, such as Downbeat (US) and Jazzwise (UK) magazines.
