THE LONG VIEW

with Rev. Graham Long & James Valentine

Rev. Graham Long and James Valentine had a ten year conversation on ABC radio. Graham told James about the people he met and insights he learned as Pastor of the Wayside Chapel in Kings Cross.  Over three Monday nights in March, Graham and James will continue the conversation. Each week, together with a special guest, they'll explore faith and doubt, poverty and wealth, good and evil in a manner that will be enlightening, confronting and engaging.  Expect deep talk on serious matters that is also deeply entertaining.

All proceeds to the Wayside Chapel

Graham Long AM, Pastor Emeritus, Wayside Chapel

Rev Graham Long joined Wayside Chapel in 2004 and led the way in creating a community of no 'us and them'. Graham Long was CEO and Pastor of Wayside for 14 years, before retiring from the role in July 2018 to become a part-time Pastor Emeritus, or, as he prefers to be known, Wayside's official 'Grandfather'.   From the social worker who became a postman, to the postman who became a pastor, Graham's journey has led him to share in great joy and great sadness, both in his own life and through the lives of people who have fallen by the wayside.  With a unique ability to connect with audiences ranging from a few people to a few thousand people, Graham captivates people with his personal stories and his deep insight about love, hate, power and the 'self'. He challenges people to reflect on their contribution to society and he insprires people to live as if their last minute was to happen today. Graham is an accomplished author and speaker. His three books include Wayside (2016), Love over Hate: Finding life by the wayside (2013) and Stories by the Wayside (2011).
