Hailing from Cuba via New York, Grammy-nominated pianist/composer Elio Villafranca returns to Australia to launch his latest and most ambitious project to date, Cinque. This exceptional body of work showcases the energetic and infectious rhythms of the Congo in the five Caribbean Islands of Cuba, Puerto Rico, Haiti, The Dominican Republic, and Jamaica.
Cinque recently received a glowing 4.5 stars from Downbeat Magazine while Villafranca simultaneously received their Critic’s Poll 2018 Rising Star award.
