Our Artistic Directorate is made up of up to 8 industry peers who are outstanding and exceptional artists. Members hold their Directorate position for three years and during that time contribute to the company’s artistic output.
The traditional theatre company model involves an artistic director holding tenure for a number of years and setting the artistic agenda for a company. Darlinghurst Theatre Company however, is an artist driven company. It presents many artistic voices to allow for a greater breadth of dialogue about theatre and its possibilities.
To lead the way in artistic excellence, Darlinghurst Theatre Company relies on its Artistic Directorate to set high standards in artistic practice. Importantly the Artistic Directorate sets high standards of artistic excellence by contributing their work to the Company’s season of production.
