LIVE AT ETERNITY
Emily Sun plays La Vie en Rose
Presented by Live at Yours
An intimate French recital by violinist Emily Sun and pianist Joseph Havlat
At the heart of the concert is one of the great gems of the French repertoire: César Franck’s deeply romantic Violin Sonata, full of rapturous melodies and audaciously delicious harmonies.
Floating like silken threads around these masterworks are exquisite, dream-like miniatures: the moonlit beauty of Debussy’s Clair de lune, Fauré’s ravishing Après un rêve, and the yearning Nocturne by Lili Boulanger, one of the great poetic voices of French music. And to finish, the quintessential Parisian chanson La Vie en rose, made famous by the inimitable Édith Piaf.
Since first grabbing the world’s attention in the award-winning documentary Mrs Carey’s Concert, London-based Australian violinist Emily Sun has won the hearts of audiences around the world, making this intimate recital not to miss!!!

About Live at Yours
Live at Yours is the brainchild of conductor/pianist Vladimir Fanshil and wife, acclaimed opera singer Eleanor Lyons. Courtesy of the pandemic the duo were unable to return to their adopted home of Vienna, following Eleanor’s successful debut as Donna Anna in Opera Australia’s production of Don Giovanni in pre-COVID-19 Sydney. The couple, determined to preserve the inimitable spark of live music performance from being lost to the internet in streamed events, searched for a safe way to keep the music they and so many others needed to hear and perform through 2020 and beyond alive. It began as a modest project with the couple performing in lounge rooms to audiences of 20 guests all over Sydney and quickly grew to regional tours, ACT and smaller venues such as cafes, sheds, art galleries and heritage listed buildings. Live at Yours have now presented over 220 concerts throughout NSW and Victoria.
